Message from the Chamber President

This is an exciting time of growth for the Village of Landis and the surrounding area, with local business growth up as much as 30% in the last fiscal year.  Add to that the recent announcement of the re-opening of the Palo Mine and the excitement and growth continues.   Things are looking good for Landis!

Our community has welcomed people from all over Canada (including Nova Scotia, British Columbia, Manitoba and Alberta) as well as a family from Europe who have made the decision to call Landis home.  They would be happy share with you that this warm tight knit community is a great place to live and do business and that the choice they made to move to Landis was indeed the best choice of all!

Landis is a community with a lot of pride and spirit; a unique and friendly place to live. The village residents and surrounding community members work and play together to meet the needs of our area.

Landis must not be overlooked as an ideal setting to raise a family or start a business with current and immediate employment opportunities in our area.  With a multi-graded, progressive school, close proximity to major centers and numerous amenities, our community has a lot to offer.

If you are looking for a move to rural life, please come on out and see for yourself what we have to offer. We would love to have you come and join our family.

The Chamber of Commerce works to build business and community within the Landis area.  By investing in the Landis & District Chamber of Commerce, you are investing in your own prosperity – not only as a businessperson but also as a member of the community.

The Chamber’s goals are always promoting business; monitoring municipal, provincial and federal governments; and providing ideas and leadership for managed growth in the local economy.

The Chamber provides a forum for interested community members to discuss the specific issues that need viable solutions and acts on solutions to our specific challenges by targeting our efforts to the highest priority.

If you are looking for a move to rural life, please come on out and see for yourself what we have to offer.

The Chamber provides a unified voice for all members, securing a stronghold on the economic viability of the community. The Chamber provides members with value added programs (a listing on our comprehensive community website, assistance with acquiring small business loans, and employee recruitment). Your membership is an investment in the present and the future of the individual’s and community’s welfare.
How would the Chamber benefit the community?

In any community it is from the operational benefits of business that all other benefits result; our population increases, our businesses thrive and we create a local economy that investors and residents are eager to be a part of. By having a strong economic base, we experience a sense of security and pride in a community of deserving and motivated people.

Only by succeeding in this fundamental goal can a community provide the jobs and produce the wealth to finance all the cultural, charitable and various other needs that a community is faced with every day.
